Service Description

READ THIS THOROUGHLY BEFORE RESERVING A TRAILER BELOW. Fire Safe Sierra County is offering free trailer usage for residential biomass drop-off and pick-up. (We leave the trailer on your property and pick it up the following week.) This service is available (for free) to Eastern Sierra County residents and property owners. We hope to expand into Western Sierra County soon. Accepted Material: • Woody biomass only • Shrubs, tree limbs up to 10” in diameter • Loose pine needles / pinecones (not in bags) Material NOT Accepted • Household garbage • Hazardous Materials • Plastic Bags • Construction materials / Dimensional lumber • Metal or Wire If any material other than woody biomass is in the trailer at the time of pick-up, the contents of the trailer will be dumped out where it is parked. Program Details: Once you’ve completed the online reservation and selected a drop-off date, you will receive an email with all the details. Trailer usage is for one week, Thursday to Thursday. You’ll select a time slot for the trailer drop-off, however drop-off may happen at any time throughout the day. (Due to the way the booking system works, it was necessary to list exact time frames - though in reality drop-off and pick-up times will vary.) You will have until the following Thursday to fill it up, no higher than the sides. The trailer will be picked up the Thursday after you received it, so be sure the trailer is loaded and ready for pick-up first thing in the morning.
